在大量收集国内外节理岩体强度参数经验确定方法的基础之上，提出了改进的节理岩体强度参数经验的确定方法，即对完整岩石进行“尺寸效应折减”与“节理化折减”的二次折减法，并应用于某坝址区工程实例中，所得的计算值与现场实测抗压强度值接近，较以往的经验确定方法更加准确，证明了节理岩体强度的降低是尺寸效应与节理化综合作用的结果，为节理岩体强度参数的研究提供了一条新的思路。
